Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization, or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any other causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety. |
|
The Miracles In Progress Group of Alcoholics Anonymous holds its meetings on IRC. If you have a IRC client program such as mIRC, just select a Webnet or Webchat server on mIRC and add #AAchat to your channels list. Otherwise, simply bookmark this page or put it in your favorites, and when you want to go to a meeting, or just participate in some general and supportive chat....
|
Click the mIRC Graphic just below to download mIRC, install it on your computer and then follow the instructions above to set up mIRC so you can join our group meetings.

This mailing list allows the Miracles In Progress Forum to communicate "forum related" information and resources to the forum members. We also provide daily recovery based quotes from 12 step recovery organizations "approved " literature. Group Secretaries also post their groups related information, resources and activities here. This List is moderated so that your email account is not slammed with unsolicted email. At Miracles In Progress you are a forum member when you say you'er a member, say it by signing up for the Miracles In Progress Forum mailing list!

| The Miracles In Progress Group of AA attempts to honor and respect the Traditions of AA, and its fellowship. In keeping with the "singleness of purpose"and the principle of membership anonymity, we ask that while this is not a closed meeting of AA, those present share only their experience, strength and hope in relation to Alcoholism and/or their recovery from Alcoholism, leaving discussion of any and all other substances or issues, and recovery from them to another forum. There are other 12 step meetings available in the Miracles In Progress schedule where discussion of other substances or outside issues are more suited and appropriate. Discussion of any topic or issue not related to Alcoholism or the recovery from Alcoholism will be halted at the Chairpersons discretion. Secondly, we request your respect for the principle of anonymity among our membership, not revealing to any outside sources who you've seen here, or what you've heard here." |
