North Carolina Certification Board of Social Workers Revokes Bruce Whealton license on June 14th, 2001.

Bruce Whealton has stated that he "surrendered" his license as a Social Worker voluntarily.  The North Carolina Certification Board of Social Workers would disagree with such an assertion.  After investigating and reviewing Bruce Whealton's unethical practices as a Social Worker and his psychological evaluation, the North Carolina Certification Board of Social Workers REVOKED his license on June 14th, 2001.  On page 5 of the Order it states;

"NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED  as follows:
1.   The Respondent's license to practice clinical Social Work in the state of North Carolina is revoked."

If this was a voluntary surrender of his license the board would say so, as they do on their site where such actions are documented for the public.

See the page on the North Carolina Social Worker Board web site linked to below and see how Bruce Whealton's license removal is listed compared to those whose license are listed as " voluntarily surrendered".   It states clear as a bell..."Revocation", meaning it was taken away, not that it was surrendered.

Pattern of Filing False Complaints with Government Agencies and Police.

1.) In approximately July 2000 Bruce Whealton filed a compliant alleging that I was practicing psychology without a license in North Carolina with the North Carolina Psychology Board.  On Oct 2nd, 2001 I received notification that the case was dropped as a direct result of the Boards investigator finding the allegation was “without merit and unfounded”.  Erica H. Wise Ph.D Chair, (NCPB) is who notified me, the Consumer Protection Division, Office of the Attorney General of NC that the case filed against me by Bruce Whealton was dropped.

2.) In approximately September 2000 Bruce Whealton filed a compliant with the North Carolina Medical Board alleging that I was practicing psychiatry over the Internet and dispensing medication over the Internet without a license to do so.  On May 3rd, 2001 I was notified by Jason H. Ward, Investigator for the Medical Board, that the case against me was dropped because there was “no evidence to support the claim” and “no other colaborating testimony from anyone other than Bruce Whealton which could not be substantiated.”

3.) In approximately October, 2001 Bruce Whealton filed complaints of Cyber Stalking and Telephone harassment against me with the Wilmington Police Dept.  I appeared in court as directed by the Citation, plead not guilty, a court date was set.  On that court date I appeared in court, with 2 parties to testify in my behalf and documentation to show the court what these allegations center around.  Bruce Whealton did not show up in court to support his accusations against me and the case was dismissed.

4.) On September 25th 2002, Bruce Whealton sent in a report to Lt. P. M. Williamson of the Wilmington Police Department, stating he had been “raped, and urinated on” by me on September 8th, 2000.  He seemingly did this to justify how his sperm ended up on one of his former clients bed sheets, and to create a form of hardship for me at the same time since he holds me responsible for his having lost his license to practice psychotherapy as a Social Worker in the State of North Carolina.  I am sure the Lt. he report this outragous claim to is wondering how the sheet only has his sperm on it and no trace of urine.  Doesn't take a rocket scienist to realize they are being lied to.  I have called Lt. Williamson, letting him know that I would make myself completely available to him and was willing to undergo a polygraph test.  It is obvious at this time Lt. Williamson has no intention of filing charges against me based on what Bruce Whealton allegations are.

5.) On September 29th, 2002 Bruce Whealton filed a compliant with Durham NC magstrates office alleging Cyber Stalking and Telephone harassment.  A warrant was issued and upon my discovering this, I went to the Wilmington Police station to be served.  While at the magistrates office I was informed that I have enough documentation to support a charge against Bruce Whealton of filing false reports to both the police and to government agencies.  I was also informed that what he has been doing consitutes Harassment, for which he could also be charged.  I intend to appear in court in Durham and present this documentation and ask the presiding judge to charge him accordingly.  Should the judge reccommend I take it to the DA's office for filing I will do so before leaving Durham, North Carolina.
(It is amazing someone can go to a magstrates office, fill out a piece of paper, raise their hand and state they are telling the truth and a warrant will be issued for the party the complaint is against without any substaniating evidence or documentation being presented at that time.  The magstrate in Durham admits this proceedure creates the potential for the filing of false reports out of vindictiveness.

During his revocation hearings by the North Carolina Certification Board of Social Workers Bruce Whealton was order to undergo a complete series of psychological test and evaluations.  The Consent Order which revokes his license states;

“Dr. David Ziff conducted a psychological evaluation of the Respondent, including psychological testing, which indicated (1) the possibility of significant suicidal tendencies; (2) the possibility of a schizophrenia spectrum disorder indicated by poor reality testing and disordered thinking; (3) the possibility of affected disorder; (4) difficulties in planning and decision making due to poor reality testing, disordered thinking, stress overload, and lack of a consistent problem solving skill: (5) difficulties balancing one's own needs versus those of others with the possibility of hostile and manipulative behavior towards others; (6) a generalized lack
of skill and empathy in social relationships.
A psychosocial assessment conducted by Dr. Jay Williams concluded with the recommendation that Respondent not practice psychotherapy without first undergoing intensive, long-term psychotherapy with a well-qualified therapist or if he does practice psychotherapy he should have weekly individual supervision with a well-qualified therapist."

Mr. Bruce Whealton's license to practice as a licensed Social Worker in the State of North Carolina was REVOKED on the 14th of June, 2001.
